ISOMETRIC STRENGTH TRAINING AND TESTING
|
Measure your maximal strength, get stronger muscles, and denser bones using our state-of-the-art isometric strength machine. The patented Torque-Frame™ Technology provides digitally-calibrated accuracy up to 3000 lbs to ensure precise baseline strength assessment and progress tracking. Since there is no movement and you'll be in a completely stable position, the effect is twofold:

What is Isometric Strength Testing & Training?
Isometric strength training means contracting your muscles against an immovable object (or highly resistant device) without the joint moving. Rather than lifting a weight through a range of motion, you push or pull against resistance in a fixed position. Our machine system makes this measurable, safe, and efficient. With isometric strength testing, we use the machine to assess how much force your muscles can produce in specific positions. This gives us a baseline of your strength, symmetry, and potential weak spots. From there, we craft a targeted isometric training plan. |

Why Choose This Service?
Precise data & insights – Our Isometric strength system records metrics like peak force, force-over-time, left vs right symmetry, and strength changes across sessions. This gives us meaningful numbers to track progress rather than just relying on “how you feel”. For each movement/test, we first determine the optimal joint angle and body positioning using a joint angle measurement device (goniometer). Seat position, arm and leg height are written down to ensure precision and consistency across sessions. Efficient training – Isometric training on this machine allows you to get very high muscle stimulus in a surprisingly short amount of time. This is especially important if you’re time-pressed but serious about strength progress. Improved performance – Stronger isometric capacity often translates to better performance in dynamic activities (sports, lifting, everyday movement) because your muscles and nervous system are now trained at achieving high levels of activation. Injury prevention & rehabilitation – Because the joint doesn’t move (or moves minimally), isometric training presents a safer way to strength train than traditional training with weight and dynamic machines. We can also target specific angles where you’re weak, and can safely build strength when full dynamic lifting isn’t suitable (for example, most initial rehab scenarios after an injury or surgery). Bone, Tendon & metabolic health – Strong muscular contractions against resistance help support bone density and metabolic function. In many ways, getting stronger is a foundational step for overall health, aging well, and resilience. Over time and depending on each unique client case, we might combine isometric strength training with dynamic strength training and plyometrics to elicit further improvements in bone, muscle and tendon strength. Motivation via feedback – Seeing the numbers change (force up, symmetry improving) is motivating. Our clients find the isometric strength sessions both engaging and enjoyable. They often mention that the time flies by because they are having fun, feeling challenged, and seeing progress with each visit. This combination of measurable results and an enjoyable experience keeps them looking forward to every session. |
Who Is This For?
This is an excellent service if you are:
FAQs
Q: Is this safe if I have joint problems or I’m older?
Yes. Because the machine uses isometric contractions (minimal joint motion) you can build strength safely, and our practitioners will tailor positions to your ability and history.
Q: How long is each session?
The initial assessment takes about 45 minutes (consultation + determining machine positions + getting familiar with the machine). Follow-up training sessions are 20-25 minutes, depending on your plan.
Q: How often should I train?
That depends on your goal, current condition, and other activities. We recommend two sessions per week of isometric work to start.
Q: What kind of improvements should I expect?
Every client is different. You might see increases in peak force, better symmetry (left vs right leg/arm) and faster force production (which is helpful for performance). The key is tracking your numbers and comparing to yourself. Most of our clients see significant strength improvements even after just 4-weeks of training.
Q: Is isometric machine better than regular weight training?
It’s not “better” in all ways, but it offers unique benefits compared to traditional weight training: very efficient stimulus, safe for joints, measurable output, and a tool we use within your broader plan. We might suggest integrating isometric strength training with other training methodologies like dumbbell training, plyometrics, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility training, etc.
This is an excellent service if you are:
- Someone looking for better whole-body resilience: stronger muscles help joints, bones, posture, metabolism, overall vitality.
- Suffering from osteoporosis or looking to prevent osteoporis in the future
- Someone who is busy and wants high-efficiency strength training (e.g., professionals, parents, folks who want maximal effect in limited time).
- Someone coming back from injury or surgery and needing a safe, measured way to rebuild strength without risky joint motion.
- Someone who cares about real numbers and objective improvement, rather than just “feeling stronger”.
- An athlete wanting to boost explosive strength, balance left/right output, or reduce injury risk.
