NOISE AND VIBRATION RULES
|
No BARBELL/WEIGHT dropping
If you are doing deadlifts or any kind of exercise please where weights are touching the ground (e.g. hip thrust) put black or blue pads underneath the weights and lower down the weights gently. Don't bounce weight of the ground or similar. There should be no impact with the ground even with mats underneath. See images below.
If you are going to be doing deadlifts, you can start with bar positioned on safety arms of the squat rack as opposed to the ground, however, even then please ensure to re-rack bar gently to minimize any floor vibrations. DON'T DROP DUMBBELLS
Don't drop dumbbells. Please put dumbbells gently and softly to the ground or on top of the bench.

NO INTENSE JUMPING INSIDE THE SPACE
No intense jumping allowed inside the space! However, you can use the following jump variations and similar:
Avoid drop jumps (jumping from a box or bench on to the ground) RE-RACK BAR GENTLY

SLOWLY/GENTLY DUMBBELL BENCH PRESS TECHNIQUE - DON'T
DROP DUMBBELLS When doing dumbbell bench press, please use the following technique - watch the video. Don't lower down dumbbells from the lying position, but put dumbbells back on your knees/thighs, stand up and lower them gently on to the bench as shown in the video.
NOISE MEASURING DEVICE
Inside the space we have a noise measuring device that gives us real time feedback on the noise levels. In case the noise threshold has been reached and crossed, the device will start beeping and the value will be shown with flashing numbers. Please be mindful not to cross this noise threshold.
1) Normal conversation is up to 80 db - this is fine. 2) Don't play music louder than 70 dB. So try to keep music in 60s dB. 3) When using cable machine, please lower down weight stack gently to minimize clanking and noise. This one is especially important. If the noise get's too loud the sound measuring device will beep. Most often the cable machine will cause the noise to spike and trigger the beeping alarm. Please ensure to lower down the weights gently to reduce the noise and not trigger the sound alarm from the sounds measuring device - this is important. THE SPACE HAS 24/7 CAMERA SURVEILLANCE

HOW DOES IT WORK
We offer private workout space that can be booked by the hour or more. We will send you a booking link where you can see and book available times. You choose a time that works best for you. You don't need to install any apps since booking is done directly from the website. We will require a credit card pre-payment in order to book a time. Once you make a booking, you'll receive instructions, as well as your personalized door code which you'll use to get inside the space. Please be mindful that we have 24-hour cancelation policy. You can cancel or reschedule your booking easily from our booking site. HOW TO DO I BOOK A SESSION?
We use an online booking system where you can easily see, book, cancel or reschedule your time slots. Email us at [email protected] to get started. WILL I GET A CONFIRMATION ONCE I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
CAN I BRING MY OUTDOOR SHOES INSIDE THE SPACE

Before you can start using our space, we will ask you to fill out an informed consent form. Click here to access it. KEEPING SPACE CLEAN and organized
We keep the space very clean. Wear only clean shoes inside the space or just wear socks like most of our clients do. Please don’t enter the workout space with the shoes you were just wearing outside. You can change footwear in the lobby before entering the workout space. Our space is vacuumed every day using Dyson vacuums.
We keep space organized. Once you are done with the booking, please put everything back where you found it. HOW DO I GET IN?
Before your booking time, we’ll send you your unique access-code to unlock the studio. You will input your own code at the location presented in the image below.
Once you get inside the gym, please lock the door. Once you exit the gym, please click on "X' on the keypad to lock the door or wait 5-10 sec for the door to lock automatically. Test opening the door to make the door is actually locked before leaving the gym (IMPORTANT). DO YOU HAVE A 24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
Yes. If you do not cancel or reschedule your space rental at least 24-hours before the start of booking, you will be charged the full amount for that service. If you are arriving late, you will receive the remaining scheduled workout time. TO Kinesiology reserves the right to cancel space rental in which case you'll receive a full refund for the services you paid. I BOOKED SPACE RENTAL FOR 1-HOUR. CAN I STAY LONGER
No. If you need more time, please choose our 90 minute or 120 minute space rental option. Note: leave 2-5 minutes towards the end of your workout to clean after yourself and put everything back where you found it OR you can do that as you go along with your workout. DOES CLEANING/TIDYING UP AFTER MY WORKOUT COUNTS TOWARDS MY TIME
Yes. Please leave 2-5 minutes towards the end of your workout to clean after yourself and putting eveything back to its place OR you can do that as you go along with your workout. Can I DROP WEIGHTS IN YOUR STUDIO?
No. Please be gentle with the equipment and minimize floor vibrations as much as possible. Don't drop weights or if you are going to be doing deadlifts, hip thrust or any exercises where weights are touching the floor, put down bar slowly on top of the blue or black mats to minimize the impact with the ground.
You agree not to make excessive noise, nor create any noise nor conduct any other activity which would in our judgment disturb other TO Kinesiology clients, guests, or other tenants. CAN I PLAY MUSIC ON MY PHONE/SPEAKERS?
There is a sound measuring device inside the space that shows loudness level so at any time you know exactly the noise levels. You can play music but not louder than 70 dB. So keep volume in 60s dB. Speaker bluetooth name is M7. To turn on the speaker, hold the "ON" button for 3 seconds and do the same on the other speaker. After you do this, the speakers should connect with each other automatically. Find "M7" device from available bluetooth devices and your device should now be connected to the speakers. DO YOU HAVE WIFI/INTERNET INSIDE THE STUDIO?

Email us at [email protected]. However, keep in mind that TO Kinesiology is not responsible for any property you may leave behind in our space. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have taken all of your personal belongings when leaving our studio. HOW CAN I CANCEL/RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?
When you booked an appointment, you should've received an email confirmation. Go to that email and in it you'll find an option to cancel/reschedule as shown below on this image. Click on "reschedule or cancel" and you'll be taken to your account login page where you'll see all of your future and past bookings. Here you can cancel your appointment, or reschedule. Remember that we have 24-hour cancellation policy, so if you are unable to reschedule/cancel, that probaby means you are within 24-hour cancellatio window.
MY ONLINE BOOKING ACCOUNT
In your online booking account you can see your past and future appointments, cancel/reschedule appointment, see you personal info, change notification setting and update payments methods. To login to your account, go to the confirmation email you received from us when you booked an appointment. Click on "View Details" and you'll be taken to the login page. You'll need your phone number you used to book this appointment and/or email address.

There is a free 1-hour public parking in front of our studio and on most streets in the area. We also have private parking, but we don't provide it to first-time renters and is only reserved for more frequent customers. Private parking is locked with a chain and you will get a code to access it.

DUMBBELL BENCH PRESS TECHNIQUE
Please don't drop dumbells, even from a low height. When doing dumbbell bench press, please use the following technique when putting dumbbells down on to the bench. If putting them down to the ground do so gently to minimize any impact with the ground or better yet, put them down gently on top of the blue or black mat.

LEG EXTENSION/LEG CURL MACHINE
Adjust seat height to make the most out of leg curls and leg extensions. The seat has three different height options:
For leg curls, set seat height to medium height setting. For leg extensions, put seat on the highest setting. If your feet are touching the floor when doing leg extensions, you can put blue mat underneath your thighs to increase height. CAN ADJUSTABLE DUMBBELLS BE DROPPED?
No. Adjustable dumbbells cannot be droppped. They have a fragile weight changing/dial mechanism and thus are very sensitive to any kind of force. Please be extra gentle and careful when putting them down. This even means not dropping dumbbells from the lying or seated position on a bench like you normally encounter when doing dumbbell presses.
