SPIROMETRY
​(LUNG FUNCTION TESTING)

Spirometry testing allows us to assess your lung function, state and performance by measuring the air you inhale and exhale using a specialized device.

Spirometry can be used for different purposes:

• get baseline measurements to see how you compare to population norms. Detect if you have any deficiencies and where you need to improve. 
• assess progress over a period of time
• diagnose lung conditions and pathologies like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other conditions that affect breathing.
• assess treatment and medication therapy 

Parameters measured: test: PEF, FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC, FEF2575,
FEV6, VEXT, DTPEF, FEF75, FEF25, FEF50

Test instructions: Deep inhale > Fast and forceful exhale into the measuring tube

​Test duration: ~15 minutes 

Price: $50+tax ​(Included in the price - after the testing is completed, the results will be explained by Nem (MSci Exercise Physiology/registered kinesiologist) and personal recommendations will be made).
