It's possible for BMI to show us that your weight is inadequate for your heigh in case you are carrying lot's of muscle mass. And this is one of the problems of using BMI, because it does not discriminate between fat and muscle. It's best to use BMI alongside other health/fitness parameters and not just rely on BMI to guide your decisions.
